The Storyline of the Movie 72 Hoorain
The movie showcases two Pakistani men named Bilal Ahmed and Hakim Ali sitting over the statue and discussing divine gifts including the 72 virgins or Hoorain. Meanwhile, they both notice a rally of Muslim women who are protesting against terrorism because of the previous day’s terrific incident at Gateway of India.
The scene shifts to the last day where it reveals that Bilal and Hakim did a bomb blast attack at Gateway of India that caused the deaths of several innocent people along with both of them. They did so under the manipulation of one of the Maulvi, who stated that if they followed the path of Allah and sacrificed their life in a way along with many others, then they would be rewarded with Heaven and 72 Hoorain.
Influenced by his speech, they take this step, and now it’s their souls who are waiting for their bodies to be buried so that they would be welcomed in Heaven by 72 Hoorain. Unfortunately, their nation denies them as citizens of Pakistan, and their bodies are kept under the custody of Indian cops.
Even after several days, their bodies didn’t get buried by anyone which led to hopelessness for Bilal. However, Hakim encourages him and makes him believe that soon they will be blessed with divine gifts.
Hakim and Bilal are in so much hope to achieve the thing for which they did this. Will they be successful in it or will get stuck in a purgatory state?
