The Storyline of the Movie ‘Jalebi’
The movie starts with Aisha (Rhea Chakraborty last seen in Half girlfriend) traveling from Mumbai to Delhi for some research for her upcoming book. Aisha is a writer and is currently in the middle of writing a book. Upon her arrival in Delhi, she meets her local guide Dev (Varun Mitra, last seen in Guilty minds).
The two slowly fall in love with each other and decide to get married. The married couple lives their marital life happily for the next few months until Aisha realizes that she is pregnant. Scared of not being able to handle the pregnancy well, she confides her worries to Dev, but he manages to talk her into keeping the baby.
But everything goes down when Aisha has a miscarriage and is continuously blamed by Dev’s family. Unable to handle such humiliation, she leaves Delhi but gives Dev a second chance to amend things between them.
But Dev’s no-show pushes her to an end, where divorce is the only option left for her. Seven years have passed since Aisha decides to go to Delhi and face her problems, but fate just might not be on her side because, on the train, she meets Dev with his wife and daughter.
