This movie is directed by Ravi Chopra, who has also directed films like Baghban, The Burning Train, Zameer, Dahleez, Bhoothnath, and many more. It is a multi-starer film that casts renowned actors of Bollywood including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, John Abraham, Hema Malini, and Rani Mukherji.
The Storyline of the Movie Baabul
The movie Baabul begins with a happily married couple, Balraj and Shobhna who wait for their son Avi to return from the US after completing his studies. Finally, after 7 years, Avi comes back home. Balraj, who is a rich businessman, feels proud to know that his son will join his family business.
One day when they play golf, Balraj unintentionally hits the ball toward the painting which ruins it. The painting belongs to a girl named Millie, who gets furious and leaves. Avi goes after that girl and starts the conversation. Millie who is unaware of the fact that Balraj is Avi’s father tells Avi everything about the incident and calls Balraj stupid.
Gradually, they begin spending time with each other and fall in love. Rajat, who is Millie’s childhood friend, once visits her home to meet her. Millie tells Rajat that she is in love with someone which breaks his heart as he loves Millie for many years.
One day Millie decides to visit Avi’s office and there she finds out that he is the son of Balraj. Millie leaves the office while crying but Avi chases her and apologizes saying he did so because he loves her but Millie doesn’t accept his words. Then, Balraj tries to convince her and apologizes for ruining her painting and she forgives them both.
After that, Avi invites Millie to his home for a party. He proposes to her there and they get married. Soon they get blessed with a baby boy and give him the name Ansh. Ansh grows up to be a sweet little boy. Everyone seems happy and excited for his birthday but a piece of terrible news devastates everything. Avi dies in an accident on the way back home from a trip.
