The Storyline of the Movie ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is a tale of romance between two people who are married but not to each other. Dev and Maya are in troubled marriages; different circumstances took a hit on both of their married lives.
Dev’s marriage started crumbling when he turned bitter toward life after an accident forced him to leave his career as a professional soccer player and become a stay-at-home husband.
While Dev and his wife Riya were once head over heels in love, Maya never truly loved her husband, Rishi, romantically. Maya and Rishi grew up together, Rishi’s father, Samarjit, looked after Maya as she was orphaned at a very young age. Maya married Rishi for the sake of Samarjit and his favors towards her.
In a chance encounter, the paths of Maya, Rishi, Dev, and Riya cross, and the two couples become friendly.
Dev and Maya decide to help each other to ignite romance in their otherwise lifeless marriages; anyhow, both of them end up falling in love with each other instead.
As the story progresses, Maya and Dev’s love grows deeper for each other, and at a get-together dinner party, Dev announces the earth-shattering news to everyone that both of them are in love.
Inevitably, Rishi and Riya divorce Maya and Dev respectively, and set them free to be with each other. Nevertheless, Dev and Maya go separate ways out of the guilt of cheating and hurting their partners.
Towards the end, Rishi and Riya find love again, and they unite Dev and Maya, ensuring a happy ending for one and all.
