Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01 is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Sukumar. It stars Allu Arjun as the ostensible character alongside Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, while Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Ajay, and Ajay Ghosh play supporting parts.
It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media. The first of two cinematic parts, the film depicts the rise of a low-wage laborer in the trafficking consortium of red sandalwood, a sporadic wood that grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh state.
The Storyline of the Movie “Pushpa”
Pushpa, a laborer, works for a small sum but dreams of living a king-size life. But he is always let down by his step-brothers for being a bastard. He gets a chance to work in a dense forest of red sanders where red sanders are smuggled to other countries. The laborers are always under the inspecting eye of DSP Govindappa, but Pushpa dares to go against the tide, creating hurdles for DSP. Pushpa manages to save a smuggling consignment worth crores from under the DSP’s nose and becomes known to Reddy Brothers. (Konda Reddy, Jakka Reddy, and Jolly Reddy) are known to smuggle red sanders.
Pushpa manages to smuggle red sanders often with his tricks by bluffing DSP and his team and becomes a close aide of Konda Reddy. Pushpa changes his lifestyle and decides to marry Srivelli, but his step-brothers disclose his mother’s relationship with their father, thus calling off the marriage. Pushpa now decides not to stop reaching heights and finds that Mangalam Sinu, a syndicate member, is giving Reddy’s gang a much lesser share than they deserve and asks Konda Reddy to hike profit.
Konda Reddy asks Pushpa to take things into his hands as his involvement will lead to war between the two gangs. Heart of a lion, Pushpa decides to take the reins of things leading to differences between the two gangs.
