The Storyline of the Movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani
A gym boy Rocky belongs to a rich Punjabi family who owns a Dhanlakshmi Sweets business named after his grandmother Dhanalakshmi Randhawa. His grandfather Kanwal Lund is an amnesiac and is dependent on a wheelchair due to an accident soon after his marriage. The house is bound under his grandmother’s rules and his father Tijori follows her path.
One day, during the award function of his father Tijori, his grandfather mistakes a lady for a woman Jamini. Rocky notices this and asks him about her to which he reveals that they were deeply in love with each other but they got separated due to their family responsibilities. Rocky decides to reunite his grandfather and Jamini and begins looking for her.
The next scene showcases a Bengali girl named Rani who is an independent woman and a journalist from profession. Her mother Anjali is an English Professor and her father Chandon is a professional Kathak dancer. She is attached to her lovable grandmother who is none other than Jamini and is also keen to find her grandmother’s separated love.
While looking for them, Rocky and Rani come across each other and decide to unite them in Randhawa’s house. On their first meeting, Kanwal recognizes Jamini and it reveals that they had an extra-marital affair. Rocky and Rani arrange multiple dates for them during which they grow feelings for each other.
Rocky proposes to Rani but she neglects and says that their family has different ideologies which will not let their relationship last for long. After this, Rani visits Kashmir for a work purpose and realizes her love for Rocky. She returns from there and expresses her feelings to Rocky. But because the problem isn’t solved yet, they decide to switch houses for three months.
