The Storyline of the Movie Sergeant
Nikhil Sharma gets arrested for the murder of a citizen named Kalim but he is released as he follows all the protocols of the police and has proven not to be guilty. His father and a friend named Haider come to meet him. They console him by saying that everything will be fine and the scene reveals that Nikhil is an officer.
His therapist adds on and says, ‘No one will forget your work; you were a good officer’. These words from his therapist, Linda, make him furious and he shouts over everyone that he is still a good officer and is not going to back down because of his physical disability.
In his previous case, the doctor had to cut his leg due to a severe injury. After the surgery, he comes to the therapist and acts as if he is fine with his one leg but he isn’t. He has to struggle hard with one leg in his daily routine which frustrates him. Moreover, his girlfriend leaves him and he starts drinking a lot. He hides everything from his therapist.
He visits the office to meet his friend Haider and asks him about a man who was with Kalim on a boat. His friend says that the man has died and that case has been closed too. According to Nikhil, the case isn’t closed yet and the scene shifts to his home where he is researching the case of an unidentified teenage girl who is connected to his previous case.
