When a singer gets abducted and is believed dead, everyone suspects her ex-boyfriend, who is trying to catch the real culprit all by himself.
The movie ‘Ek Villain Returns’ is a sequel to the movie ‘Ek Villain’ which was released in 2014. The movie is an action thriller film written and directed by Mohit Suri. The film has an IMDb rating of 4.5/10 and has received much praise for its musicals, plot, and cinematography. The movie shifts from the present to the past and has the perfect thriller and suspense.

begins with the news of a singer named Aarvi Malhotra (Tara Sutaria) getting attacked in her apartment and abducted. The police suspect her ex-boyfriend Gautam Mehra (Arjun Kapoor) and proceed to arrest him. The movie then continues as a flashback to when Gautam met Aarvi.
The flashback starts with Gautam being ousted by his father from his house and business due to the commotion he had caused at her ex-girlfriend’s wedding.
Aarvi used the video of the commotion to make a rap song. This infuriates Gautam, and he decides to date Aarvi for revenge. Gautam reveals Aarvi’s secret to the world, leaving her alone and heartbroken.
But Gautam’s feelings toward Aarvi change when he gets attacked by his ex’s husband and is helped by Aarvi. The flashback ends with Gautam asking for another chance and Aarvi rejecting him. The movie continues with Gautam escaping from the cops while they, too, find out that Gautam is not the culprit.
The police find another connection to the case: Bhairav Purohit (John Abraham). He is a taxi driver and also the last person Aarvi had called. The whole story turns upside down when the movie shows yet another flashback where the culprit’s identity is revealed.
