The Storyline of the Movie Atrangi Re
The movie begins in Bihar where a girl named Rinku does several tries to elope with her lover Sajjad but gets caught every time and beaten up badly. Her grandmother gets annoyed by her behavior and decides to make her marry. At the same time, S. Venkatesh Vishwanath alias Vishu and his friend MS visit Bihar for a Medical Camp.
Rinku’s uncles plan to kidnap MS to make him a groom of Rinku but unfortunately, they bring Vishu instead. Rinku’s family forcefully conducted their marriage and put them on a Train to Delhi. During their journey to Delhi, they both agree to not accept this marriage as Rinku already has a lover and Vishu is engaged to his friend Mandy.
Vishu takes her along with him to Chennai where he tries not to reveal his forced marriage to his fiancee and family. However, Mandy’s father learns about it through their viral video and he breaks down the marriage. Vishu tries to convince him but when he disrespects Rinku, Vishu threatens him to not repeat it again and leaves with Rinku.
They arrive back in Delhi and live in Vishu’s hostel. After a couple of days, Vishu realizes that he has fallen in love with her but when he tries to confess to her, she hears the trumpet of an elephant and realizes that Sajjad is here. Vishu feels disheartened and asks his friend MS to check if she leaves safely.
When MS goes to meet them, he is shocked to realize that Sajjad doesn’t exist and that it’s her imagination. Ms runs back to Vishu and tells him everything. They both get confused over this point if there is no one, then who’s Sajjad?
