Three Indian Police officers come together and ally to catch Mr.. A, a thief who has stolen various valuable artifacts and is always successful in evading the police.
The movie ‘Dhoom2’ directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu, and Uday Chopra, is the second installment to the Dhoom series and also a sequel to the movie ‘Dhoom’, released in 2004. The movie was declared a “Blockbuster, by Box Office India after its release all over India, grossing over ₹1.5 Billion. The movie also became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2006.
The movie starts with Mr.. A (Hrithik Roshan) steals the crown of Queen Elizabeth II from a train. The police force was troubled as they had zero clue about Mr. A’s true identity. To capture Mr. A the police force forms a team of ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan, last seen in kabhi alvida naa kehna), SI Ali Akbar Khan (Uday Chopra) and Shonali Bose (Bipasha Basu), a special officer.
The three start investigating Mr. A from his very first theft and come up with a conclusion of where the next theft is most likely to occur. Jai proceeds to divide teams to secure the two museums, and then, the day of the theft arrives. Though Jai is able to presume the location of the next theft, Mr. A still manages to steal a rare diamond and escape.
While on his way to the airport, an announcement on the news is being broadcasted. The announcement was of a supposedly Mr. A, who had challenged the police to stop him from stealing an ancient warrior sword. When the fake Mr. A tries to steal the sword, the real Mr. A meets her in the room that holds the sword.
The impersonator turns out to be Sunheri (Aishwarya Rai), who confesses to Mr. A about her admiration for him. Mr. A and Sunheri soon ally and plan their next heist, unaware of the fact that Jai, too, had found out about their next theft.
