An official remake of the Dhanush starrer 2009 film, ‘Sorte Kugler,’ “Thank God” is a fantasy comedy that stars Ajay Devgn (who showcased his tremendous acting skills in the 2022’s blockbuster movie “RRR”), Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh.
Though the movie fell flat at the box office, it makes for an interesting watch that will teach you a thing or two about life while making you laugh.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Thank God.’
Ayaan Kapoor is a big-shot real estate broker who earns more in black than in white. Life’s going well for him with his wife, Ruhi, daughter, Pihu, and his money. But demonetization hit his life hard! He got into a debt of ₹16 crores.
Frustrated, Ayaan tries everything that is possible to come out of this mess but has no luck. Due to a lack of choice, he starts living with his wife.
On the day of his daughter’s birthday, Ayaan meets with an accident, and to his bewilderment, he gains consciousness in Yamlok with Yamraj and Chitragupt in front of him.
Chitragupt offers Ayaan to play a ‘Game of Life’ in order to get back to earth, but if he loses, he will be sent to hell.
The game involves black balls and white balls; black ones represent his bad deeds and good ones represent his good deeds. He needs to secure more white balls in order to get another chance at life.
Ayaan decides to give it a shot. Initially, the basket that has black balls starts filling up faster, indicating that he is closer to hell, but the game takes a favorable turn when his good deeds are recognized, and he starts getting white balls, making him eventually win!
Chitragupt offers him a check of ₹18 crores to sort out everything and have a fresh start in life. Ayaan gains consciousness, and he is back on Earth.
He works very hard and earns a good reputation in the real estate market, but he finds out that Ruhi and Pihu have damaged kidneys.
In the process of donating his kidney, a drug overdose makes him unconscious, and he finds himself in Yamlok with Chitragupt yet again.
What happens when Ayaan faces Chitragupt for the second time? Will Ayaan have to play another ‘Game of Life’? Will Chitragupt help him this time as well?
