This movie shows another hidden story of the year 1920 in which a girl decides to take revenge on her mother along with her father’s spirit. Avika Gor, who is famous for her role in the serial Balika Vadhu played the main lead in this movie along with fabulous actors including Rahul Dev, Barkha Bisht, Danish Pando, and many others.
The Storyline of the Movie 1920: Horrors of the Heart
The girl named Meghna lives with her father, Dheeraj. She also has a boyfriend named Arjun whom she loves a lot and she decides to tell her father about him on her 21st birthday. She is happy but her happiness is short-lived as her father hangs himself, leaving her with the question, Why?
The scene shifts to the grave of her father where she notices a half-dead man who appears in her dreams frequently. She becomes terrified upon seeing him and rushes home. At home, she heard a noise from upstairs and while chasing it, she reaches an unknown room. There she discovers her father’s diary which he used to write for many years. She begins reading his diary through which she gets to know about his past.
Dheeraj was a failed writer due to which he wasn’t able to earn well and his wife Radhika was not happy with him. So, she used to go to other men for fame and money. She never loved her daughter, Meghna, and also hate her husband. She once tried to kill him by giving him poison but failed.
Later, she left both of them and married a wealthy guy which broke Dheeraj’s heart. He decided to grow Meghna till she turns 21 and after that, he would make himself free from the pain.
Meghna feels heartbroken after reading his diary. She reaches the grave of her father and begins calling his spirit while crying. Shockingly, the spirit of her father appears and Meghna confesses her will to take revenge on her mother. Dheeraj’s spirit tries to stop her but she doesn’t. At last, her father gets convinced and advises her to enter the house of her mother to begin her revenge.
The next day, Meghna reaches her mother’s home with an oath to pay back. What will Meghna do to make her mother realize her mistake? Forms the rest of the story.
