The Storyline of the Series Jubilee

The story is set in the backdrop of the India-Pakistan partition of 1947. There is a man named Srikant Roy, who is the owner of one of the renowned studios Roy Talkies, and has a wife named Sumitra Kumari who is a superstar. 

He is looking for a new face for his latest movie ‘Sunghursh’ and chooses Jamshed Khan who does theater in Lucknow and is a brilliant actor. Sumitra, who is having a marital affair with Jamshed, visits Lucknow to run away with him, leaving the excuse to meet him. 

Binod, who is his right-hand of Srikant, finds out about Sumitra’s affair and informs Srikant about it. Srikant asks Binod to bring them back immediately. Binod travels to Lucknow by train where he meets a man named Jay Khanna who comes out to be Jamshed’s friend and is also going to Lucknow to meet him. 

After reaching Lucknow, Binod calls Sumitra and tells her that he knows about her affair with Jamshed. She informs Jamshed about it and they plan to run away. He tells her to wait at the railway station and he will reach there from his work. 

On his way to the railway station, Binod traps Jamshed and a fight begins between them. A group of protesters notice this and reach out to attack them. Binod hides and sees Jamshed being beaten by them. Meanwhile, his friend Jay reaches out to rescue him and takes him to Karachi. 

Sumitra who is waiting for Jamshed, sees Binod standing at a door and thinks that Jamshed is no more. Is it the end of their love story or will they unite again? Forms the rest of the story.
