The Sandhya Menon novel “When Dimple Met Rishi”, serves as the basis for the web series “Mismatched.” Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf, Rannvijay Singha, and Vidya Malvade star in the romantic series. The novel takes place in the United States, but the series is set in Jaipur. One of the many reasons why “Mismatched,” which came out on November 20, 2020, was renewed for a second season was that it received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from viewers and left them wanting more.
The Storyline of the series ‘Mismatched: Season 1’
The series is set in Jaipur, where a particular summer course is about to begin and wanting to be a part of that summer course Dimple Ahuja (Prajakta Koli). Dimple is a tech nerd who aspires to be the best tech whiz in the world. However, her mother’s only goal is for her to get married and act like a meek wifey material woman.
Dimple’s mother put her profile on a matrimonial website without telling her daughter about it. And the man who falls in love at first sight with Dimple after just seeing a matrimonial profile is Rishi Singh Sikhawat (Rohit Saraf). Rishi is a soft guy who wholeheartedly believes in the traditional ways of dating. Wanting to marry Dimple, Rishi even enrolls in the summer course Dimple is attending to pursue her.
What could go wrong between two very opposite people wanting two very different things?
