The first episode of Part I of ‘Money Heist’ starts with Professor Sergio Marquina (Álvaro Morte) recruiting criminals for a grand heist that he had been planning for years. He successfully gets a young female robber and seven criminals on board for the theft.
He explains to them how the theft is to be carried out on his first target, The Royal Mint of Spain. When the team is put together and everything is set for the plan to begin, the team proceeds with the first step and comes across many challenges during their theft—even coming close to situations where the professor is at risk of being discovered as the mastermind.
