This series is adapted from a book named ‘The Scam: Who Won, Who Lost, Who Got Away’, written by journalists Sucheta Dalal and Debashish Basu. Directed by Hansal Mehta and Jai Mehta, the series is now available for online streaming on its OTT platform.

The series consists of 10 episodes, the first one named ‘Risk Se Ishq.’ The narrative of the rise of the Indian economy and the Bombay Stock Exchange in the 1990s opens the series. Then, in 1992, an SBI employee reported a ₹500 Crore fraud and asserted that Harshad Mehta (Pratik Gandhi) was the perpetrator.
The next part of the episode focuses on Harshad’s life before and after he became successful in the stock market. Harshad’s ascent to the top is featured in the series.
In the beginning, Harshad frequently changed jobs due to his performance on the stock exchange until he started his own consulting company. Harshad begins paying off his debts with the commission he receives from his consultations and soon discovers a surplus in his business accounts.
Harshad seemed to be doing well until his greed began to grow day by day, which was the beginning of the notorious 1992 scam.
