As the concept of television series is gaining popularity, each day among the public, we have seen a large increase in the production of Indian web series, and among those series is ‘The Married Woman’ has managed to catch the attention of many.
Released on 08 March 2021, the series revolves around the themes of romance and drama. The series stars Ridhi Dogra, last seen in Lakadbaggha, Monica Dogra, Suhaas Ahuja, and Imaad Shah, and is based on Manju Kapur’s Book, ‘A Married Woman’.
Astha (Ridhi Dogra), a docile housewife, is the focus of the 90s-set series. In the first episode, Astha and Aijaz (Imaad Shah), a man of a different religion than her, start working together on a play. Still, the difference in their religion never troubles her. Unsurprisingly, as days went by, she started growing closer to Aijaz.
In the midst of it all, Astha’s family warns her about the ongoing riots, but she chooses to pay it no mind and instead decides to meet Aijaz and confess her love for him.
However, when Astha meets Peeplika (Monica Dogra), she encounters a change that forces her to re-evaluate both her true feelings and her true self. Will Astha be able to determine her true desires?
