After the successful Indian web series,’ Sacred Games’ we have yet another masterpiece ‘Ghoul’, directed and created by Patrick Graham. Starring Radhika Apte (known for her terrific performance in popular series such as Lust Stories), Manav Kaul, Ratnabali Bhattacharjee, Mahesh Balraj, and S.M. Zaheer, this series was conceived based on a dream Graham had.
Though ‘Ghoul’ was originally going to be released as 3 films, it was later acquired by Netflix in 2018, so it was decided that these films will be released as three episodes under the miniseries ‘Ghoul’. And since its release, ‘Ghoul’ has continuously received positive critics making it a profitable investment for Netflix.
The Storyline of the Series ‘Ghoul’
The series starts with Nida Rahim (Radhika Apte, last appeared in Netflix’s Monica, O My Darling) exposing her father’s anti-government activities, which resulted in her becoming the newest interrogator at the Meghdoot 31 detention center.
Nida is assigned to interrogate the most dreaded terrorist Ali Saeed (Mahesh Balraj), who many interrogators have failed to question. When Nida starts questioning Ali, she finds him unnerving and soon finds out the reason behind Ali’s suspicious behavior.
