On 19 November 2021, the movie Jan. E. Man hit the theatre but only within the state of Kerala. At first, this movie was decided to be released only in 90 theaters but later the demand for this movie made it screened in 150 theatres across Kerala. After a month, on 10 December 2021, the movie also premiered in other states and profited 10 times its invested money.
The production team expressed their happiness over this achievement and announced the Jan E Man OTT release date which is decided to be 25 February 2022.
Synopsis
The story begins in a remote town in Canada where Joymon works as a nurse and lives a lonely life. He decides to go back to Kerala to celebrate his 30th birthday as he doesn’t want it to pass like an ordinary day. He doesn’t have many friends because of his senseless humor and is in touch with two school friends named Sampath and Faizal.
He contacts and tells them about his plan to celebrate his birthday with them but their weird expression reveals that they aren’t happy with his arrival. Somehow, they agree to get involved in his plan, receive him from the airport, and visit Sampath’s house for the celebration.
At night, Sampath and Faizal surprise Joymon with the decorative Terrace embellished with lights and his pictures. The moment fills joy within Jordon which heals his years of loneliness. But this joy doesn’t stay for long as when they are about to begin the event, Sampath’s old neighbor Palathotathil Ittyavara dies of a heart attack.
This incident stops their celebration and the story takes a twisted turn.
